I have dates with times in Col D2 onwards. I would to know how to set up a conditional format formula to check which dates are the same as todays date

It would be appreciated if someone could kindly assist me

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Try this Conditional Formatting formula:
Excel Formula:
=INT(D2)=TODAY()

You are welcome.

The key here is to understand how Excel stores dates & times. Basically, they are really just numbers with special formatting.
Specifically, it is the number of days since 1/0/1900 (you can see this by going to any date cell and changing the format to "General").
Time is just the fractional part of of one day (the decimal piece).

So we can remove the time (the decimal piece) by using the INT function, which just returns the Integer portion of a number (and drops the decimal portion).
