I can’t seem to find this is in the archives. I have a dataset with 35 columns and 5,000 rows. I want to use a conditional format to select 4 specific columns to check if any of the rows are duplicated providing the data in all 4 columns is the same. I want to use a cell fill color to highlight these duplicated cells. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alan

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Thought someone would be able to help on this. Is there something missing that I have to clarify?

Thanks,

Hi friend:)

So you mean conditional formatting if any occurrence of duplicate arise in each worksheet and to highlight just 4 columns that has duplicates thought there can be more than 4 columns that has duplicates?

Hope your feedback:)

Thanks for your response. If the 4 conditionally formatted columns find the exact conditions anywhere in the sheet, 5,000 rows, it will fill these cells with a fill color. All 4 of the selected columns have to match. Writing this just brought to mind that this might be a "Match" function formula, but I'm just not sure.

Thanks for anything you can do, I have to wrap for the day and will pick up tomorrow. Have a good one.
