Hi. I'm using Excel 2003.

I'm pretty sure this is an easy question. I've done it before, but can't remember how.

I've got a formula that relies on data entry in a bunch of cells. It's being setup for a template-type deal.

I'm looking for the value I need to put in as a condition for conditional formatting when a formula returns the "#VALUE!" value it will return with the conditioned format.

I've tried putting where the cell is equal to #VALUE! but that doesn't work. Any one come across this and knows what I need to do? Thanks all!

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Try using the ISERR function.

I KNEW it was something stupidly silly easy. Thanks!

For anyone that views this post afterwards, remember to change the first drop down in the conditional format box to "Formula Is"
