conditional format

Hi all,

Is it possible to do a conditional format where the condition is the format of the value?

Eg. I now formatted value 50000200 as \50000200. No I would like a format (background color red) where the condition would be " if formatted with \

fyi - The custom format used to obtain the format was "\"@

Is this possible?

I think the answer is no, it's not possible but what is your reason for formatting this way?

You may be able to apply some other conditional formatting to achieve the same objective

the only reason is just clarification. I'm prepararing a macro, not a vba macro but a dataload macro, to load data into oracle, and in there I always differentiate the keystrokes (beginning with \) from the commands via a color.

The dataload tool has an option to do this so it is done automatically, but I would have been nice if I could rebuild the complete thing in excel. When it is prepared in excel, I can easily import sheet into the tool.

the keystrokes don't actually have \ in front (otherwise I could have used the left function), I have it done via custom format because the macro tool copies it anyway. I guess that was for me the quickest solution, rather than a concatenation of \ and my data.
