Conditional Format

I'm trying to set up a conditional format which checks cell B20 with N20 and C20 with O20. No matter what I do I cannot get the formula to work.

=IF(AND($B20=$N20,C20<>O20)

Can anyone help?

Try without the leading '=' sign

AND($B20=$N20,C20<>O20)

Leave out the if part, I think. The AND() will return a true or false and that should be enough to instruct the conditional formatting equation.

Correct formula was =AND(($B20=$N20),(C20<>O20))
