I would like to change a cell color based on two variables

If date (in cell G3) is < than todays data and the value (in E3) does not equal 'complete' than the formating for row 3 is red.

Thanks for all the great help!!

If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

Select the cells you want to format and use

Formula is | =AND($G3< TODAY(),$E3<>"complete")

Cannot get it to work. Is a variable missing from your formula

If G3 <( Today) and E3<>'Complete' then formating red

Thanks

Oh, shoot. I didn't check it after I posted, and the board ate the stuff after the < symbol. I always forget about that :rolleyes:

Should be:

Formula is | =AND($G3< TODAY(),$E3<>"complete")

(without the space before TODAY--had to add that so it would show up)

I fixed it in my above post, as well.
