Hey there guys (And Girls),

I have a problem i just can't solve, ok here it is i have 2 sheets within my document that will have a VERY similar list in them. i would really like to see if i am putting in duplicates in either list without having to jump back and forth.

I was personally thinking conditional formatting but i don't know how to get both columns selected without excel "arguing" with me about it XD

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
UPDATE,

just been thinking about it and i'll only need the second sheet to flag the duplicates as the first sheet is a master list

Hello,

If you give a name to your reference list ...say ... Master ...

You could add in your conditional formatting rule :

Code:
=ISNA(MATCH(A2,Master,0))

Hope this will help

@James006
to highlight duplicates shouldn't that be ISNUMBER rather that ISNA?

ok so the idea is i have the "Master" list in $C:$C and call it a "stock check" in $B:$B so i would like the "non-master" list to only flag duplications IF $B:$B has an "in Stock" letter AND is on the list... is that any more helpful?

Thank you

Thank you

Two Conditions :

1. Has a Match the main list named stock_check

2. AND ... Has an ' in stock ' letter ...

The first condition is being taken of ...

What does your second condition mean ?

Hey again,
Sorry to start becoming a pain now and annoying you all

Ok so the second condition only has 2 status...
In stock "Y" and have had it in stock but not anymore "H"...
I want the secondary list to only flag the duplicates that are on the master AND have a "Y" next to them in $B:$B
I hope that helps explain it a little better

Sorry again and many thanks again
