hello all, thanks for your help on the last one. I have a new one now. How would i write the following for a conditional Format

if cell value is equal to any of the values in cells a1,a2,a3,a4,a5,d1,d4,d5
Then the format will be applied to the matching cells

Thanks

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Hi

In A1 enter the conditional format, fomula is

Code:
=COUNTIF($A$1:$A$5,A1)+COUNTIF($D$4:$D$5,A1)+COUNTIF($D$1,A1)>1

and the format required.

Copy the cell, and paste format to the other cells (A2:A5,d1,D4:D5)

In acw's formula change the >1 to >0 or drop that part completely.
