Cell $M4=$S4="" stays empty
Also $M4=$T4>=5 fills red
These two formula work
When I apply the same formula to
Cells $N4=$W4="" fills red
$N4=$Y4>=5 fills red

What I am try to achieve is that when cells $S4 and $W4 are empty they are no format/no fill but when cells$M4 and $N4 contain a value they format to red if the content is >=5

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
I am afraid that I have read your post a few times and it is not clear to me what you require.
Do you mean the below (please note that I used yellow just because it shows better).
Book1
NOPWXY
3
4Format cellxxx7
5
Sheet5
Cells with Conditional Formatting
CellConditionCell FormatStop If True
N4Expression=AND($W4<>"",$Y4>=5)textNO

Conditional formatting... new rule... 6th option (based on formula)... =AND(S4="",W4="") choose your format
That should take care of... " when cells $S4 and $W4 are empty they are no format/no fill "

I need a little clarification...
Cell(s)________ needs to format in red when cell(s)_______ >5 BOTH over 5 - Over 5 total - If either over 5

Thank you @MARK858 and @braindiesel fr both of your answers.
I have resolved my issue now, including when the value in the cell is >=5 the cell will fill red.
