Hi,

I would like to add condtional formattin by way of Color Scaels to cells B1:G10 of the image/spreadsheet below. Is there a way conditional formatting can be used on the last two numbers of a cell as in B1:G10?

Or, I have put the RIGHT fomrula in Cells I1:N10, to look at the last twp characters of Cells B1:G10. This is how I would like Cells B1:G10 conditionally formatted. Can I use the values in Cells I1:N10 to condtionally format Cells B1:G10?

Thanks for any help.
James

when you say "is there a way conditional formatting can be used on the last two numbers".....

If you mean can you just conditionally format the last two numbers the answer is no. you can only conditionally format the whole cell.

If you mean format the cell based on the last two numbers then yes but you will need to create a conditional format for each number.

using the range in your example the code would be

Excel Formula:
=COUNTIF(B1,"*enteryournumbervalue") applies to $B$1:$G$10 <-make sure to leave the * before your number value.

Select B1:G10
CF --> New rule -->
For value 30 to 39 (last 2 digits)
Enter Formula

=INT(1*TRIM(RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(B1," ",REPT(" ",100)),100))/10)=3

Format for required color.

For value 40 to 49 (last 2 digits)
For another color
Formula

=INT(1*TRIM(RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE(B1," ",REPT(" ",100)),100))/10)=4

Similarly do it for all colors.
