I want to create a training record spreadsheet.

First column will have employee name
First row will have Training type, second date of training and third no of months till training needs done again.

I want cells to be green if they training type has more than 6 months left, Orange if it has less than 6 months and Red if it has expired.

Is this possible in excel? I haven't used conditional formatting before.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)

Yes. You will need to create three rules, one for each colour, and use a formula for each.
