Hello

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm attempting to use conditional formatting to highlight where data needs to be entered by users if certain cells are filled.

e.g. if cell c6 is filled, i'm applying the following formula to highlight it red =NOT(ISBLANK(c6))

however i want the formatting to return to fill white once text has been entered.

I've tried to use the same formula and reference the cell i'm in and also tried a few variations of <>"" but just can't seem to get it to work.

Thanks
Annie

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Sorry I don't think I explained that very well.

I'm applying formatting to D6. If C6 is filled and D6 is empty I want D6 to highlight red, however if D6 is filled i want the cell white.

So the =NOT(ISBLANK(C6)) formula works for highlighting it red, however I'm struggling to get the 2nd condition to work for when the data is entered for it to return to white.
