Help!!!!

I have a spreadsheet where I have roughly 20 cells that are conditional formatted. I have chosen two colors, red and green. Also in the workbook are many graphs. When I make changes to the graphs and go back to the tab where the conditional formatting is, the colors have changed??? The weird thing is that the data that is being entered is coming from another workbook. I need to know why this is happening?????

Very frustrated!

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Hi John, welcome to the board. Conditional formatting will change the colour based upon whether the c/f condition is true. This is often related to the value of the cells that are coloured for conditional formatting but not necessarily so if fomula criteria is used.

The chart will change its values based upon changes to the data source but not the other way around. Changing the atributes of a chart should have no affect on the data source.

You may have to provide more information such as what the c/f criteria is, which cells are changing colour and their values plus what changes you are actually making to the chart.

Are you changing the colors in the charts?

What version of Excel are you using, maybe we could replicate the problem.
