Conditional formatting copy and paste

Hi all,

I have the following post and its solution


Now i want to use this in next column, i have data in next 25 column and want to copy paste but when we do that its not change custom formula, as we do copy paste formula

How can we do that, help pls

Thanks but it will not change C and B, its using in all column C and B formula, in next column not changed to D and C

Vishaal,

In your original example the conditional format target was two merged cells so if you copy and paste the conditional formatting (which used relative addressing) then it will change the formula by two columns, so D and E instead of B and C.

It may be easiest if you specify exactly which columns should have the format and exactly which columns are the source of that calculation.
