Hi,

I have a file 7000 rows which contain text. There's more than one sentence in the cell.

I would like to format text in a cell like; All sentences Bold, except in parentheses. Sentences in parenthses will be Italic-not bold.

How can I formulate this issue and apply all rows? Please help

For example;

(text text) text text text, ( text ) text text text.

text (text) text text ( tex text text) text (text).

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
This cannot be done with conditional formatting. It can be done only with macros. Are you interested in that kind of solution? It's not a trivial bit of coding.

Your example does not match your description. Your example shows portions in parentheses that are bold.

Sorry, your are right. True example is below;

(text) text text (text) text

text (text) text text (text)

How can I do it with macros?
