I am trying to format a cell based on the following conditions: 1) cell $I$6 has the value "Month" OR "Quarter" and 2) cell $I$9 DOES NOT have the value "All". Both conditions need to be valid at the same time. Attempted to split this into 2 separate formulas but one always overrides the other and doesn't give me the desired result.

Excel Formula:
=AND($I$9<>"All",OR($I$6="Month",$I$6="Quarter"))

Thanks for your reply. I tried this previously and it is giving me the same result. It formats the cell I want to format when Month/Quarter is selected in I6 but also when 'All' is selected in I9. I wish for it to format based on All not selected, and month/quarter selected

Double check that I9 is exactly All, with no leading/trailing spaces

I tested & then posted the formula. It works for me.
Only thing I can think of is what @Fluff has suggested in Post # 4
