Conditional formatting from a selected range

I have a question in the Conditional formatting.

If the cell A1 has a value, it has to search for the range, example B1 to B9. Any value between the selected range (B1 to B9), the A1 cell has to get formatted.

How do we create a Cond. formatting for this issue?

Please help me out.

=AND(A1<>"",ISNUMBER(MATCH(A1,B1:B9,0)))
