Hello.

I would like to do the following -

Cell A3 is equal only to a 1 or a 0
If cell A3 is a 0 - leave the format structure of cell A1 and A2.
If cell A3 is a 1 - highlight cell A1 and A2 read background.

I'd like to do this with a formula, not macro.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
So I think your spreadsheet is somewhat like this

a b c
number number 0
number number 1

If you want to highlight only the first 2 columns, select the first 2 columns and all the rows of your data.

Go to conditional formatting and select the option for formula.

Enter the following formula

=$c2=1

select the option for fill and choose the color you would like. The dollar sign in front of the c will "LOCK" column c. Because you highlighted all the data when excel moves forward it will not "lock" in the second row (no dollar sign) and will continue on to subsequent rows.

Hope that helps.
