I've got all the transactions from my bank statement. Date, Transaction Details, Funds Out, Funds In, in A-D.

Now I wanted to highlight my spendings, everything that was 50-100 one color and 100+ another color. So I put on conditional formatting, first I chose everything over 50, highlighted blue, then I chose everything over 100, highlighted purple. So far so good.

Problem that's happening: When I filter purple (everything over $100) its showing me both everything over $100, and a lot of blanks (which would have entries in Funds In but empty in Funds Out). Can anyone explain this?

Here's a pic below of the Conditional Formatting rules. D826 is where my subtotal formula is.

EDIT - I pasted a picture which showed up when I was writing this post but not after submitting. The picture thing here is such a pain! Its asking me for a **** link. Is there no way to upload a picture straight from my computer without using a 3rd party site?

I guess I'll type up the Manage Rules:

Cell Value > 100 (purple color highlight shown here) =$C:$C, $D$826
Cell Value > 50 (blue color highlight shown here) =$C:$C, $D$826
