Hello all,

Excel newbie here...

I currently have a dataset with last year’s EHS data that I am looking at representing using a RAG through the colour fills in conditional formatting. However, I cannot figure out what the formula should consist of or how to set this up.

  • RED – If X is equal to more than 5% on last year’s EHS data
  • Amber – if X is at least 5% more on last year’s EHS Data
  • Green – if X is less than last year’s EHS data.
Can anyone guide me into what the best way to go about this would be :)?

Thanks a bunch

I think we need to see what your data looks like, and fully understand what cells we are looking at, and which ones are to be formatted.
Can you provide samples?

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
