A question that's on my mind:

Is it possible to trigger a cell's behavior on the basis of wether the text in another cell is bold?

i.e.

if the contents of cell A are in bold, cell B=1

thanks

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Yup: put some txt in cell C2 and bold it and run this

If Range("C2").Font.bold = True Then
Range("A1").Value = "ITS BOLD"
End If
