I am working on a Retail store layout for my work. I have one sheet with a map of the store with a cell representing a 4-foot section of an aisle. Those cells I have coded and hyperlinked
to a sheet, where the store associate will type what's on that 4-foot section and the capacity level. on the column for capacity level, I have a data validation list for 25%,50%,75%,100%, and then
conditional formatting color scale. I want the conditional formatting color scale to also link back to the store layout to that cell of that 4-foot section in that aisle.
So if that 4-foot section is 25% stocked on the "detail" sheet on the capacity level column and that color is red then that cell that it represents on "store layout" sheet turns red also.

Hope this makes sense and can be done.
Thanks!

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Hi Brian,
sounds complicated but you can use formulas in conditional formatting. So long as your data layout is mirrored in both sheets I think it should be doable. Are you able to post a sample demonstrating how you have your file set up?
