I have a set of dates in one column (D) and another set of dates in column (E). I want to color the cell in column E red if the corresponding row date in column D is before that date.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
The feedback is appreicated.

But by my understand that works when you are working with one cell. How do I get it to work with numerous amounts of cells. Meaning, I am copying and pasting data into this excel and I am not sure how much row down this needs to apply to. So I want to format the entire column to hand my request.

Select the entire range and apply that CF formula. Excel will adjust it for the other rows.
