Conditional Formatting with Consecutive Numbers

Hello,

I have a large list of numbers that I'm trying to group (or highlight) when they are consecutive. The numbers are in order but do contain gaps. (e.g. 10001; 10002; 10003; 10009; 10010; 10017; 10018; 10019, etc.) Is there a way to highlight each group of consecutive numbers a different color? Or do anything that makes them stand out?

My values start in A:2.

Update: I have tried to use the conditional formatting formula "=A3=A2+1" and applied it to all numbers in the row and elected to turn those cells green. I figured this would at least give me a white cell once the consecutive numbers stopped. However, it doesn't seem to be working. It's highlighting numbers but I can't figure out why certain numbers are being highlighted, but they're definately not consecutive.

If you can have more than 4 consecutives numbers, change the last formula (blue) to
