Conditional Formatting with multiple conditions

I would think this is pretty simple but i can't seem to get it working. I would like to change the background color of a cell under these 2 conditions:
1) current cell has a value > 0
2) current row, column B has text "V" in it

Since excel stops evaluating when a condition is met in conditional formatting, i can't seem to get both conditions evaluated. Can i AND conditions?

the simple "formula is" that i have is: B:$20="V"

=AND(A20>0,B20="V")
