Conditional formatting?

G1=TODAY()

I want emp. name in column A to highlight bold red when G1 in C answers to TRUE. Thanks.

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
If I understand what you're doing, then yes, conditional formatting will do what you want.

In A1, use Format | Conditional Formatting...
Under Condition 1 choose Formula Is
For the formula use: =C1=TRUE
Format the Font to bold & red
Hit OK and then use Format Painter to copy the same format to the range in column A that you want.
