Conditional Formatting

I need to create a conditional formatting for an entire row (B7:K7) if the cell of K7 is not null (I am actually putting a date in this cell). But when a date is entered in the cell i want the row to be a certain color. I know how to do conditional formatting but not sure how to apply it with a conditional formula.

Can anyone give me guidance.

Highlight the B7:K7
In conditional formatting, your formula is

=LEN($K7)>0
