Need some help please…. see below… lets’ say in column A1 is today’s date (e.g 7/24/11), Column B1 is due date (e.g 7/28/11), on column C1 is completion date (which I’ll enter when training is completed)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
What I need is that if:<o:p></o:p>
1) IF column B1 (due date) has 5 days left to complete the training based on column A1 (today’s date) than in column C1 (completion date) to be highlighted in orange and say “Warning”,<o:p></o:p>
2) and if column B1 (due date) is equal or greater than column A1 (today’s date) than C1 to be highlighted in RED; but when I place the completed date on C1 the column to be un-highlighted and normal. <o:p></o:p>

Hi,

Some ideas

1. Fill column C (C2:C?) with the word Warning and change the Font color to white, so it will be invisible

2. Select C2:C? and insert these rules in CF (in this order)
=$B2-5<=$A2
Format button
Font --> black
Fill --> yellow

=$B2-$A2<=0
Format button
Font --> black
Fill --> red

=ISNUMBER($C2)
Format button
Font --> black
Fill --> white

Check Stop If True for all rules

still got some problems... just the first option works... the rest of it doesnt...


This works fine

Q.column doesnt change to red when I change the date, stay still as based on above conditional formatting??

Q. when I place the completion date on C2, column doesnt change to black letter and white fill, stay still as based on first conditional formatting??

Works fine now... actually I reversed the conditional formatting; i placed bottom to top vs top to bottom.
