Hello All
If I have any cell in column F that is blank, then that cell will be a light red color fill. However, I need the conditional to cover all cells in column F. The problem I'm having is if I use the Conditional Blank rule, it makes all blank cells light red. I just want to go one row at a time.
Example:
lets say no data is in F23, then F23 will be filled with light red. When data is entered in F23, the color goes away. However, rows 24:to the bottom, column F will remain blank, until an entry is placed in Column B, then the cell in column F will turn to light red, until an entry is placed in that particular Column F cell.
Thanks

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Select F1 to the last row of data & use this formula
=COUNTIFS(F$1:F1,"")=1

It seems to be working backwords...
lets say I have data in row 22. however, F22 is blank. So F22 would have a color to it, until a word was typed into it, then the colored cell would no longer be colored.
The only time any row would have a color in any cell of column F, would be:
Rule of: data in a row, but cell F in that row is blank.
Thanks for the help

What do you mean it's "working backwords"?

If row 22 is filled out, but F22 has no entry, then F-22 should be colored. However, F22 is not colored, but F23 is.

What range do you have in the applies to box & what formula did you use?

You will need to change the formula to F$2:F2 it should always reflect the same row as the applies to range

Correct, I did that. however, it will work, but if the next row has an entry in it, say row 23 (and row 22 also has an entry in it) then F22 and F23 should have color, untill an entry is placed in those perspective cell, then the color will go away

For example: If B22 and B23 (and so on) has an entry, then F22 and F23 will be shaded. When an entry is placed in F22 or F23, then the shading will go away.

Thanks for the help
