Conditional Text Count: Most common text entry in an array

Hello all, I have a problem….could anyone please help me. Although may have been answered earlier, I am new to this forum…and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I have data in column “A”, from “A1” to “A10” [text entries]. I want the most commonly occurring text in B1, and the number of times that text occurs in the “range A1-A10” in C1. I have the required formula to put in C1, that is, “=COUNTIF(A1:A10,B1)”, but can anybody help with formula to put in B1??
For example, the following is the data in A1 to A10

While this will help me at one level, my work deals with complicated data-analysis, which is infact new to me and so the learning curve. I know to use pivot...but i dont want to use it since formulas can save my time and help in final report.
Formulas given by you, gives the most frequently occurring text and its count above and the rest in descending order; I thank you for that :)
Now, can we modify these formulas to display the most frequently occurring text if its satisfies certain condition, infact sometimes multiple conditions. Like I want to use combo box drop down (form control) to apply additional filters for the count. I have attached a modified version excel work book, which will help to grasp what I am talking about.
My Data is in table array A1:C11, the first column contains the data of interest and for which count is required (This is same for which solution was provided). I have additional columns Filter1 and Filter2 with some additional data, which I need to use these to filter the count of data in first column.
Suppose, I have a report table in E6:F11, formulas to be put in E7 to E11 which displays the most frequently occurring text in decending order and formulas in F7 to F11, which displays the corresponding count. Without any filters I can use the earlier solution provided. But, I need to add two filters.
In F2, I will place a Combo Box drop down as a filter1. The data for it will come from K2:K4 [Show all, Primary, Secondary]. Combo Box is linked to cell K5. In F4, I will place another combo box drop down as a filter2 condition. The data for combo box 2 is from K6:K8 [Show all, Ph1, Ph2]. This combo box is linked to cell K9.
Depending on the selection in drop down (comboboxes) the corresponding data is to be displayed.

Hey ....please can any one help and improve upon solution provided by Aladin to get most common text in an table array..which satisfy certain conditions...
