I'm starting to list all my tasks on an Excel spreadsheet, with Task, Due date, Update and Due date and want to highlight rows as they become due within, say, 2 days of whatever is today's date.

E.g. today's date 10th Sep 02
Task Due
Chase Finance team 15th Sep - no change to row
Chase Marketing 11th Sep - highlight row

I've had a look in Help etc without any luck - how do I do this?

Many thanks

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

Say task in col A, due date in col B, Days to go in col C (formula = B2-TODAY() )
data starts in row 2
......
Highlight whole of row 2
Goto Format, Conditional Formatting
select 'Formula is'
=C$2<2
Select the highlighting you require... ie cell colour yellow
click ok.

Then copy whole row & paste down 'formats' only

You can put a formula in conditional formatting similar to this:

=AND(H44>=(DATE(YEAR(NOW()),MONTH(NOW()),DAY(NOW()))),H44<=(DATE(YEAR(NOW()+2),MONTH(NOW()+2),DAY(NOW()+2))))
