Hi,
I've used the consolidate function before and have a fair understanding of how to use it, but I'm having trouble getting my consolidated list to update. I have a single column running list that may or may not be a repeat 8 digit number, and the column next to it is simply a "1" as long as the corresponding cell in column A has information in it (using formula "=IF(A1<>0,1,""). I'd like for my consolidated list to automatically update as I add to the bottom of my source list and continue to sum the quantities. I've tried checking the "Create links to source data" box, and that does update the consolidated list if I delete the info from a cell in the source list (or if I add it back), but it won't consolidate new entries at the bottom of the source list. When I first set up the consolidation, I made the source range way larger than my actual data so that I would have room to add data, but it still doesn't update. I'm I not doing something correctly? Or is there a formula that might work better than the consolidation function? Thanks in advance for any advice or help.
