I am trying to consolidate how much equipment is issued to a location over a year, this equipment is recorded in a spreadsheet each time it is issued by date, the spreadsheet contains columns for each unit over that time. I would like to consolidate this into a second tab that consolidates all of the columns by location

Equipment Issued
Date1/01/20141/01/20143/01/20148/01/2014

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Hi MCattz,
I have used something similar to this myself so should hopefully be able to help with this.
I used a very simple sum if formula across the dates and locations. as below:

=SUMIF(Sheet1!C2:F2,Sheet2!B1,Sheet1!C4:F4)

Sheet1 being the daily tracker,
Sheet2 being the consolodated view

Sheet1!C2:F2 is the range for the locations.
Sheet2!B1 is the Range Criteria ie Location X
Sheet1!C4:F4 Is the sum Range ie this counts how many items have been issued.

I hope you find this useful :)
