I have searched and searched, and just can't figure out how to do this. I apologize if it's been dealt with and I have missed it.
I have a spreadsheet with about 5900 entries of industrial buildings. In some cases, there is more than one building on a specific parcel of land, each parcel being identified by a unique nine-digit number (called a roll number). Each building has a corresponding area expressed in square feet. What I would like to do is sum the areas of all buildings on a specific parcel and have that sum replace the area listed for the first building for each roll number. I then want to delete the remaining instances of the roll number, so only the one with the sum remains.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this would be most welcome.
