I am hoping someone can answer this simple questions. How can I make the 'P3' in a formula a constant even if rows are inserted.

Example =SUMIF(P3:P1517,">1").

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
=SUMIF($P$3:P1517,">1")

See the Help files for a discussion on Absolute and Relative Cell References

=SUMIF(INDIRECT("P3"):P1517,">1")
