Is there a formula in Excel that will tell me if a cell contains certain data? I have a list of people in a spreadsheet. some of the people have email addresses and some don't. I want to find out who has and email address and who does not by using some type of formula that will return at 1 if the email address column contains the @ symbol. Is this possible without using a macro?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Use FIND formula combined with IF like:
=IF(ISERROR(FIND("@",A1,1)),"Not an Email ID!","Bingo!")

Yet another one...

=IF(COUNT(FIND("@",A1)),1,"")
