Continuing Long Variables with "&_"

Hi,

In the past with VB, I have written long variable strings spanning several lines of code by joining each line by inserting "&_" at the end of each line and continuing the next line with an open ". When I try that in VBA in Excel, it doesn't seem to recognize the "&_" command. Any ideas how to continue long strings over several lines?

Thanks!
Greg

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Hi, Greg,

Code:
Range("A1") = "when you want to go to the next line " & _
