control tip not working

I am trying to place a string of text into Properites Other/Controltip text. Anything I put within this property field does not show when I mouse over or enter the combo box field in my opened form. Could this be because my tab index is 0? Not sure why this would affect, just guessing. I have tried shutting down Access and restarting, no effect.
How do I resolve this?

Thanks again for all the help.

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
Have you got any events within the form as well as what you are trying to do in the field, you may have an exclusion somewhere that is stopping the control tip from being shown.

Suddenly it starts working! Not sure what I did. Yes, I do have other events running, but nothing related to the field or property. Thanks for the hint.
