Controlling conditional formatting

Good morning! My name is Lynn Edwards, and I am new to the group. I have an issue with a business report. I have conditional formatting in my document. However, I'd like the conditional formatting to just apply to the cells for which I have it assigned. When I copy information from conditionally formatted cell, I would like the information only to transfer to the pasted cell and not the conditional formatting. I hope this makes sense to someone! I've attached the sample spreadsheet that shows what I'm trying to do.

Excel Facts

Pivot Table Drill Down
Double-click any number in a pivot table to create a new report showing all detail rows that make up that number
Paste as values - after you copy, right click in the cell you want to paste, and in the paste options you will see a little symbol with "123", that means paste the value only with no formatting

Yes, as wrightrx7 says, that should work if your cells contain just values.

If they contain formulas, try "Paste as formulas" instead.
