I am storing a value to a cell, but its storing it as a String. The value will always be a number. How do i make it so the format is a number automaticaly (instead of a string)?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
Perhaps:

Code:
Sub ConvertToNumber()
Range("A1").NumberFormat = "General"
Range("A1") = --Range("A1")
End Sub
