I would like to convert total time, expressed as HH:MM into a decimal. e.g. 49:30 to 49.50. Can anyone assist, please?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Multiply it by 24 and format as number.

You will need to add a couple of functions if any kind of rounding is required. Usually one of CEILING, FLOOR or MROUND is sufficient but it would depend on the exact requirement.
