Convert kanji to hiragana

Hi all,
Would you please tell me how to print out the way to read a word in Kanji into hiragana?
Ex:
in cell A1, I type "日本", and in cell B1, I write something that will return "にほん"

I have tried the function =phonetic(A1), but I always get the result of "N/A"

I am using Excel 2K7, English version.
