Hello guys and gals!

I have what you probably consider an easy task which I cannot get working on my hands.

In cell G10, I have the the text 20060901 which is supposed to represent September 1, 2006.

Now in cell AA10, I want it to recognize that date format as normal and make sure that number (date) is within the current month. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
If you're trying to return a TRUE or FALSE, perhaps:

=MID(G10,5,2)+0=MONTH(TODAY())

that works great for month! However if it were 20090901 it still says true. Can it recognize this year and month?
