I think the answer is No Way!!!, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I would like to copy a 6 digit numeric value in cell "A1" to another cell converting it to a text string and appending a suffix. I am using =A1 &" text" which works except I would like to retain the thousands separators "," The issue does not justify a complex solution, so I suppose anything more complex than a formula is too much.

Thanks as always.

Thank you all! Not only was I wrong, but I was very wrong! There were many way to reach the goal posts

Best regards

I'm sure we can come up with more complicated formulas if you'd like.

PS: and @Rick Rothstein can also provide a UDF
