I've pretty much migrated all my operations these days to Access but find that I still need some work sheets from excel to accomplish tasks.

I have a spread sheet that has text dates as follows:

 9/6/2005
 9/12/2005
 8/16/2005
 8/16/2005
 7/8/2005
 7/5/2005
 7/26/2005
 7/13/2005
 11/14/2005
 10/31/2005
 10/13/2005
 10/11/2005

I need to convert these to real dates to sort my sheet...I've tried DateValue and also tried to strip the dates out in separate columns using right, mid, left but the way the dates come across some positions are not in the same place, for example:

1/1/05 has two less spaces than 12/12/05. So Mid, Left and right will not always work.

Brian,

Thanks! That helped get the dates separated into three columns, now I just need to assemble them back together into a real date in another column.

Just follow the Wizard to step 3 and select the appropriate format, no need to split in three columns.....
