convert text o numbers or dates

Hi guys,

How can i separate numbers from text and convert to dates?

example, Fieldname : Code Batchdate
01012012_1 01012012

how will i separate the date from "code" field

I want to remove any values to the right of underscore and including the underscore from the text ("01012012_01) and be remained as 01012012

Try this calculated field in a query (replace "MyField" with the name of your field).

Code:
MyDate: Left([MyField],InStr([MyField],"_")-1)
