Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Thank you very much gaz_chops. It works.

I knew both text function & mid function. but never thought I can make use both together & solve this issue.
What is did all these time is segregate the dates to columns using text to column, replace each month text to corresponding number of the each month one by one using find & replace. Then combine through & function. Then change the format through the pop up message appears.

You made my life easier.

Thank you very much.....<strike></strike>

You can change your text dates to real dates directly within their existing cells. Select the column with your text dates, call up the Text To Columns dialog box (Data tab) and as soon as the dialog box appears, click the Finish button.

I tried that Rick and it doesn't appear to work.

that doesn't seem to work for the format of the dates shown as examples

i copied the dates as shown above and did as you advised.

i felt there was a way and had tried all the date format under format cells option to no avail

EDIT

I am guessing it will work if you are using US date format but not with UK date format.

In that case, I think (but cannot test to be sure) that selecting the column and calling up the Text To Columns dialog box (as I instructed in Message #5), but instead of hitting the Finish button right away, select Delimited on the first dialog page and clicking the Next button, unchecking all the checkboxes on the second dialog page and clicking the Next button, then selecting the Date option button and selecting MDY from its drop down box on the third dialog page followed by clicking the Finish button might work..
