Convert to number

Im using vba to fill out these cells and i change the number format of the cell to .NumberFormat = "@" to insert the euro sign which results in the green triangle in the cell. when i click on the triangle and covert the cell to number it works fine but when i use vba to do this it deletes the euro sign.
What can i use to keep the euro sign but get rid of the green triangles
