Hello

We have a spreadsheet, in one column of the spreadsheet is a date field, the data has been keyed in as YEAR MONTH DATE ie 051225 (25th December 2005) is there any way to format this numerical value into a data format ie 25/12/05?

Any help would be greatky appreciated

Many Thanks

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Select the cells containing the date, then Data|Text to Columns and skip the first 2 screens. On the third choose Date and select DMY from the drop down.
