Converting currency to text string

I need to convert this dollar amount to a text string of 8 positions (6 for the dollar amount, 2 for the cents amount).

Should look like = 00055556 with the assumption that the last 2 positions are cents.

The =TEXT(B2,"00000000") returns 00000556, rounding the amount

I've tried =TEXT(TRUNC(B2,0),"000000"&TEXT(RIGHT(B2,2),"00") which works, until you have an even decimal amount.

$555.50 returns 00055501

I need the decimal amount to be converted to text "as is" and not rounded.

Any help would be appreciated!

Does this work?

=RIGHT(SUBSTITUTE("00000000"&B2,".",""),8)

Edit: Whoops, won't work with $555.50. I'll see what I can find.

again, that works for $555.56, but when I have the even cents amount $555.50, it returns 00005555 instead of 00055556
